The St. Vincent de
Paul Drama Troupe is an after-school elective open to Jr. High
students. Organized and directed by Mrs. Rickard, our librarian,
and Mrs. McCarl, our music teacher, students in grades 7 & 8 are
introduced to the dramatic arts by participating in the
production of a Broadway musical. This is a year-long project
which starts in September with auditions and casting, and
culminates on the first weekend in June with our big evening
performances. Rehearsals are held every Monday and Thursday
afternoons from 3:30-5:00p.m. throughout the school year. The
Drama Troupe will begin it’s 8th season this fall. Past
productions include; “Guys and Dolls,” “Annie,” “Oklahoma,”
“Cinderella,” “Willy Wonka,” and “Mulan.”
This year's production will be "Beauty
and the Beast Jr." on June 1 and 2,
2012 a 7:00 PM.
